“I would like an onion!”
Heidi Bjerkan from Michelin-starred Credo (Trondheim, NO) called us on a cold autumn day and said those exact words. “I would like an onion!”. The dish to be served was obviously based on onion, and she needed a bowl with a lid to give it the proper attention it deserved.
The onion bowl is a meeting between the precise and the handmade. To ensure that all the lids fit with all the bowls we 3d-printed some very exact production tools, while the top of the onion is handmade, giving each one a strong character and a natural feeling.
The onion bowl is served on a Fancy 20 plate in the same off-white clay as the bowl. The plate is glazed only in the middle, with the rim almost unglazed.

The bowls and lids are interchangeable to make them easier to handle.
During the development we tested both the white and the yellow onion.
